Education & Training
In order to maintain Australia's reputation as a leader in automotive engineering and innovation, we need professionals who are willing and capable of taking up the challenge to develop equitable personal transport in a future where oil is expensive and unreliable and current levels of emissions are unthinkable. The modern world requires graduates and professionals to commit to lifelong learning. AutoCRC aims to ensure that there are abundant job-ready graduates and up-to-date industry professionals within Australian automotive industries.
AutoCRC's Education and Training Program is designed to provide experiences at a range of educational levels.
For undergradutes we provide the opportunity and funding to complete a final year project within the automotive industry. Students involved in the program can expect to:
- work on a real world problem or project that is important to the automotive industry
- produce real solutions of potential value to the industry
- use state-of-the-art equipment and software
- observe the automotive industry from the inside
- practice skills in presentation and professional communications
- display their abilities to one or more potential employers
- develop professional skills and attitudes of long term career value
For postgraduate student researchers we provide scholarships for important research within the automotive industry. Students involved in the program can expect to:
- work with some of the best researchers in the world
- connect with industry participants who are keen to assist them
- have professional development opportunities in a range of skills
- have technical development opportunities that are relevant to their field
- develop worldwide professional networks
- be an important part of the most innovative industry in the world
For industry professionals we will be providing technical and professional development in diverse areas including:
- leadership
- green technologies
- innovative technologies
- other topics - to be identified through needs analysis
